Why Hire a Wedding Planner?
Many of us wonder why some people hire a wedding planner to plan a day you have been dreaming of since you were little. Why would you do such a thing if you already know what you want and how you want it? It’s not until you actually start planning that you scratch your head and say to yourself “Oh my, the venue I wanted is not available, now what?” all of a sudden your dream starts to fall apart. It’s not the same picture you had painted in your mind anymore.
You make more calls and you find out that your wedding cake will cost you double what you thought it would cost, you spend too much time calling around, meeting with different vendors and in the end just walk away feeling confused, frustrated and all you want to do is cry because this is not as easy and as fun as you thought it would be. This has turned into a nightmare. Some of us are more organized than others but at some point during the planning, the feeling of being over-whelmed succumbs you.
These are only some examples of the many things that can start to unravel as you are planning. Wedding Planners have many resources that many do not have. They have connections, ideas, formulas to make sure that your day is as wonderful as you have dreamed it would be. Wedding Planners also have the magic touch to make you feel as though all you need to worry about is to be happy, feel good and enjoy the company of your loved ones surrounding you for your day.
Many people realize that they should have hired some help after they have started to plan. It’s never too late to call a planner for help. Some charge by contract and some charge by the hour. Depending on your needs, make a few calls and speak with the planner and tell them your concerns and see what kind of relationship you have with them. It’s important that you pick someone that you feel comfortable with and someone who will listen to your needs and wants. You can hire a planner from the moment you decide to get married to the day before your wedding day. Again, it all depends on your needs and wants.
If you are going to get married in a different city than your own, again a wedding planner is highly recommended. Simply because they know that particular city better than you and in turn will end up saving you more money than the cost of having a planner, because of their resources and their connections. You will end up saving on travel, long distance calls and maybe even get some saving here and there.
Whether or not you have thought of hiring a planner, make a call and enquire how much it would be for you to get some help and I can assure you, you will not be disappointed, even if you are simply thinking of having an extra set of hands on the day to make sure that everything is covered and your guests don’t have to worry about anything else but be with you.
